Year 7 Geography Feedback

Mr K Smith's group have produced some lovely work on what Geography is all about and why it is important for us to study it. An excellent entry from Alexander is shown below:

WHY I LOVE GEOGRAPHY

There are many reasons why I love Geography. Geography helps you understand basic physical things that affect everyday life which can be very useful (e.g. earth, sun, water cycles, wind, and ocean currents.) Geography also helps you learn about the locations of places, which is useful when travelling; it helps you understand how things worked from the past times and how it has played important roles in people’s lives, places and environments. It’s fascinating how geography allows you to explore and understand the world, and it teaches you the difference and importance of physical and human Geography. Geography tells you information that you will be able to use in the future; it broadens your global outlook, promotes good citizenship; it develops environmental and cultural awareness; it expands your knowledge of people and places; and improve your geographical skills. I also like looking through atlas to find out names of different countries, finding out countries population and much more. That is why I love Geography.
